1. The Godfather
This film was 1972, the bestselling book by Mario Puzo based - is the story of an aging patriarch of the family, a crime which transfers control of his family at his son.
The film is directed by Francis Ford Coppola and features Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan,Robert Duvall and Diane Keaton. This film won three Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor (Brando) and Best Screenplay
2. The Godfather II
In 1974, the classic is the sequel to The Godfather. Much of the original cast back. Robert De Niro is cast as the young Vito Corleone. The film combines scenes from the 1920s, when Vito Corleone began his career, interspersed with scenes from the 1950 and 1960 with Michael Corleone's leading family's move to Nevada. TheFilm won six Oscars including Best Picture.
3. Pulp Fiction
Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, this 1994 film directed by the following four stories woven together: the lives of two mob killer, a boxer, a gangster's wife, a couple who rob a dinner. The film stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis and Uma Thurman. Tarantino won the screenplay Oscar for best screenplay for this film.
4. Goodfellas
The 1990 classic is directed by MartinScorsese and written by Nicholas Pileggi. It is an adaptation of the true story of the people involved in the 1978 Lufthansa Heist at JFK. The main roles are played by Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco and Paul Sorvino. Joe Pesci won the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in this film.
5. The Departed
This film in 2006, an instant classic. It is an all-star cast including such celebrities as Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg,Martin Sheen and Alec Baldwin. An Irish Mob BOSS an informant within the Massachusetts State Police, while the police assign an undercover cop infiltrating the mob.
6. Scarface
Director: Brian De Palma, written by Oliver Stone, this 1983 film stars Al Pacino as Tony Montana (Scarface). Scarface is released from Cuba, along with 125,000 others, and at a refugee camp in Miami. The film details his rise and fall in MiamiUnderworld.
7. Casino
This 1995 film by Martin Scorsese, written by Nicholas Pileggi, and the performers are directed Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci and James Woods. De Niro and Pesci portray gangsters who move to Las Vegas to make their mark. Sharon Stone is like the woman De Niro's sensational. She was nominated for best actress for this role.
